This is a shockingly terrible computer. The look and feel is extremely cheap. The thing felt incredibly flimsy, and the entire keyboard could be pushed in without much effort. Awkward feeling keyboard feel and layout too. The screen quality was awful. If you weren’t looking at the exact perfect angle, the screen would appear faded out and the color would change. It has an extremely narrow range of viewing angles. I could never adjust my eyes to the color, and photos would look simply terrible. My Chromebook has vastly superior color rendering, and the screen looks good at a wide range of viewing angles. The resolution was purported to be 1080, but the pixels seemed very large and most things appeared “blocky”. But the worst part of this computer was the performance. Unbelievably slow! Web pages would take forever to load, text would come in, and a bunch of white boxes would appear on screen until each image would load. It is not my connection either, as I ran this computer right next to my Chromebook, which had none of these loading problems. This computer was so slow that it would literally hang up while I was typing! I would start to type a sentence, and nothing would happen on screen, then a few seconds later, the words would start to show up. I closed everything but one web browser to compose an email, and I could not write simple text without the computer lagging behind. It was beyond terrible to the point I may have just gotten a lemon. But if this was not a broken machine, it’s the worst computer I have ever used. Returned it less than a week after using, I was fed up!

This laptop came as advertised. A very good entry level home computer that has a Pentium N5030 processor which makes in very responsive with Windows 11S and Office 365. The weak point of this laptop is the screen quality. It is not very sharp, contrast is weak, and the viewing angle is very limited. It is probably okay if you use it 2 hours at a time (not gaming). However, this is to be expected from a 400$ laptop. This is an occasional use laptop.

Great laptop, which has completely exceeded my expectations. This was super easy to set up and got it working straight out of the box. As this is SSD rather than HDD it is completely quiet, which is a big plus. The battery life is excellent, and the unit is very light weight too and highly portable. Nice bright screen and responsive keyboard and touchpad. It is well made and of good quality and is easily comparable to the Lenovo laptop we also bought at Christmas. All in all a great bit of kit and I would have no hesitation in getting another Dynabook in the future.

My previous Sony VAIO i5 laptop that I bought in 2011 was slowing down because of ‘old age’ so I decided to take a chance on Lenovo when I saw a good offer on Amazon. I recently purchased this refurbished/used Lenovo T470 Thinkpad laptop and overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase. I think the resellers (CNB Computers Inc.) are professionals in the business. The price of $CAD 279 is hard to beat and an excellent value for a laptop of this quality. It was difficult to find even a single scratch on the laptop. The Thinkpad came with features such as Windows 10 Pro and the Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.50 GHz which are fantastic for both personal and professional use. Additionally, the 8 GB installed RAM and a 256GB PCIe SSD, provides decent memory for multitasking and running various applications. I did not know the laptop had touchscreen capability until I touched the screen! The touchscreen is smooth and responsive, making it easy to navigate and get work done efficiently. The keyboard is comfortable and easy to type on, which is especially important for those who spend a lot of time typing. The keyboard did not have backlit functionality. While the main battery life is poor, this is a minor issue that can be easily remedied by purchasing an additional battery or contacting the reseller for advice or keeping the laptop plugged in while in use. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this refurbished/used Lenovo T470 laptop (Model 20JNS0E100) to anyone in need of a reliable and affordable laptop. Having said that, I’m curious to see how long this laptop will last. My previous experience says that, using an external keyboard and and external mouse will go a long way in keeping this T470 like new, without causing damage to the iconic keyboard and touchpad which might wear and tear with prolonged use.

The general experience of Window 10 looks more cluttered. But its something I just need to get used to.Its hard to imagine that this laptop is refurbished, it looks completely new! This model is one of the most popular laptop issued to most Government of Canada public workers. It was manufactured in 2017, sold at over 1000$ back then. Very efficient. Fast. Excellent price considering it looks new. The refurbishing company is fast to respond to any questions by email. The battery acts like a new one, stays on for hours when unplugged.Some reviewers mention receiving a touch screen monitor, mine did not. But I think this option is useless, I dont want to spend time removing stains on the screen.You will need to do some application updates via the app store once installed. Takes about 30 minutes. Most Apple applications works on this computer, except for iPhoto…A great reliable versatile computer. I will mostly use mine for movies/music/photos. Not recommended for serious gaming, not enough RAM and storage.The price is right 👍👍👍

it was running so slow it was unusable when i first booted up. spent 2 hours got rid of microsoft edge. disable the S in the windows 11 s.. download google chrome. download ccleaner and go to tools/uninstall. remove all office stuff. also i removed allot of junk. do scans and clean with ccleaner. free version is good and also offers a 14 day trial. anyways all these things fixed the severe lagging. it was loading pages like a 90’s pc. its running amazing now. sound quality is excellent. youtube now runs so nice. if you can fix the software setup and bloatware it runs great. also do no install mcafee antivirus. once you clean it up its great. also go into control/panel and privacy and security has settings to be fixed

Firstly, the chromebook I received has less ports than the images on the Amazon page. On the Amazon page each side of the chromebook has 1 x USB port and 1 x USB-C port, for a total of 4 ports. On the chrome book I received only one side has ports, for a total of 2 ports.Secondly, the keyboard was filthy. It didn’t go through a basic cleaning process, so my first experience with the device was scrapping gunk off the keys. This wasn’t even regular grey/brown finger keyboard gunk either, it was orangey-red. The only time I’ve seen gunk like this was when I drank too much wine in university and puked everywhere and it was somewhat dry the next morning. Pehaps that’s even what happened to this chromebook.On a possibly related note to the filthy keyboard, the ‘8’ key does not reliably work. It needs to be pressed very hard for the pressing of the key to register. It is possible other keys have this issue, I’ve only noticed the one so far.There is also a crack in the frame above the tracking pad. If everything else was okay, I wouldn’t let this get to me, but a crack in the frame is more than the ‘superficial’ imperfections that were advertised.I would be returning this unit immediately, but I need a laptop in a couple days for work. It does seem like it would be a decent unit if it were new or atleast didn’t have keyboard issues.What I received was clearly not what was advertised.

I love, love, love it. This laptop is light weight, slim, and fits perfectly in my handbag. Not so sure about the battery life though. That needs a bit more assessment. Otherwise, it’s perfect. It came brand new with zero defects.

Last year i bought a brand new one and it broke within a couple weeks and i couldn’t get anyone to help me at the manufacturers so i just threw away $300 basically. I finally decided to go w this one and I’ve not had any major complaints. The charging cord they sent was junk and it took me about 2 weeks to figure that out and when i was just about to return to sender it dawned on me to check that! Laptop was in immaculate condition, absolutely NO SCRATCHES, AND arrived a couple days sooner than suppose to. Definitely would recommend this for maybe a starter computer for a teen or if your on a budget!!!

This notebook is light and easy to use. I hadn’t used Windows11 before but despite this, I found it quite easy to set up. The size is perfect and the screen is very clear. Nice to have a machine that is so transportable. Ideal for my needs as I don’t want anything terribly complex. Just a good value for money notebook that works well, and this does the job just fine.

Opening this device, the screen, keyboard and trackpad combo were so amazing to touch – for the price!HOWEVER booting the computer into Windows was a massive mistake – Windows took 2 hours to download and update for itself, all while giving me little to no response on my clicks and types – looking at the task manager, there are 5 big tasks for updates and scans that are all fighting for space on the little CPU and Harddrive. After that period, I thought for sure I would just have to disconnect this computer from Wifi and make this an offline note-taking device to use it with any amount of responsiveness.BUT I made the decision to try Fedora Workstation 39 and WOW does it run SO much better. I could browse with multiple tabs, open new apps, change virtual desktops, ALL while the operating system was being installed on my harddrive. Now after that really fluid process, I’m on the OS with NO trouble, everything works and shows up on-time when I click on things. It’s clear to me that this product is not suitable in it’s default setup with Windows.Luckily installing Fedora was simple and straightforward, easily the best installation of Linux I’ve had by far. It provides it’s own USB key flashing tool, booting from the key worked well with ASUS’ bios (very nice bios screen). Once in the OS, I have brightness controls on my screen, WIFI is working (other distros having trouble with this device according to Reddit), bluetooth is showing up, sound is working. The only thing that is no longer working is the numpad on the trackpad – but for a complete turnaround on the performance, I am not complaining. We will still have to wait and see about battery life as well, so far it’s just holding at 100%.Microsoft really needs to torpedo Windows and make their own linux distro at this point

honestly this was a good budget laptop, especially on sale (bought for approx 260 before tax). I intended on mostly watching movies and doing some light tasks, and I realized belatedly that I do in fact care about seeing the right colour grading in my movies so I had to unfortunately return it lol. otherwise, everything else worked as fine as it possibly could for a 4gb ram. good for basic tasks and I could stream video with a few other tabs open no problem.

Sooooo I bought this Chromebook 02/23 for school. I already have a laptop but wanted something smaller to take with me to class and it’s been over a month and this Chromebook worth fine. It doesn’t have scratches on it but that’s the less of my worry. It like new…..everything works well. Well worth the price. I did read the other reviews before purchasing it so I was kinda scared to get it but if there’s something wrong you can always return it.
